When you take on a career of a Laboratory Manager with Coffey Testing, your day-to-day will focus on managing the daily operations of the laboratory, and any associated annex laboratories.
The Laboratory Managers’ role is ultimately responsible for leading safe work practices, ensuring high quality output of work, building high performance teams, ensuring client satisfaction, and delivering on financial key performance indicators.
There are a wide scope of duties needed in order to fulfil your role as a Laboratory Manager, and these include but are not limited to:
- Promote a safety culture in the laboratory continuously striving for zero harm,
- Ensure all employees are working within the relevenat NATA and Australian Standards,
- Ensuring that all results are accurately recorded in GeoTester,
- Mentoring and coaching technical managers, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to effectively manage their teams,
- Working with General Managers to quote for new business, ensuring the best outcome for Coffey Testing, and
- Building professional relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
